How we work
Nanomnia works in 3 ways: by entering into R&D agreements for the encapsulation of specific active ingredients of client companies; by licensing registered patents derived from its research activities or forming JVs for the promotion of new products to be jointly launched in the market; and by offering analytical chemistry services in its own laboratory.
Research & Development
Research
1
Feasibility study
We evaluate with the client the active ingredients to be encapsulated and the goals to be achieved (e.g., increased bioavailability, increased UV and temperature resistance, increased stability...).
2
Formulation and optimization
We prepare a stable formulation of the encapsulated active compound, by screening a wide-range of biodegradable, microplastic-free polymers.
3
In-vitro tests
We test and validate the best formulations in vitro onto the reference model and we identify the efficacy dosage.
Development (optional)
4
Field Test
We test and validate the best formulation with practitioners and technical experts, such as CROs and Assay Centers.
5
Patenting
If the customer wishes, we patent the formulation and license it.
Licensing & Joint Venture
Nanomnia is constantly engaged in the study of new market trends in which to direct its internal research activities, with the aim of developing intellectual property (IP) to be licensed or developed in partnership with other companies.
1
Market Analysis
Nanomnia identifies promising development directions in areas where sustainable solutions are needed.
2
Internal Experimentation
Nanomnia conducts intensive research to develop the prototypes and formulations identified as competitive.
3
Patenting
Nanomnia protects the acquired know-how and evaluates entry into individual national or EU markets.
4
Contact & Due Diligence
Nanomnia screens potential partners interested in licensing/JV among key industry players and emerging companies with high growth potential.
5
Co-development
Nanomnia and the partner refine the prototype to full commercial validation.
6
Contract
Nanomnia and the partner jointly study the best formula (licensing vs. joint venture; royalties vs. lump sum) for a fruitful collaboration.
Nanomnia is currently focused in 3 specific market areas:
Fully biodegradable formulations to encapsulate and improve the storage stability of microorganisms used as biopesticides. They contribute to safe food production, healthier ecosystems and compliance with environmental regulations.
Nanomnia is currently seeking biofertilizer/biopesticide companies for further co-development of the formulation or directly interested in a licensing agreement.
A unique eye make-up application that combines cosmetic and healing properties, such as antibacterial treatment. Responds to the growing demand for multifunctional skin care solutions, promoting both health and beauty
Nanomnia is currently looking for a company interested in acquiring the license to use its technology to develop dermocosmetic solutions with great market potential.
Luminiscent nanomaterial additive to improve the energy conversion efficiency of silicon-based photovoltaic panels. It increases energy yields and reduces costs.
Currently, the team, which has already filed the patent, wants to expand collaborations with solar cell additive companies in order to further test the technology before signing a licensing agreement.
Lab Services
1
Feasibility study
We evaluate together with the client the necessary tests to analyze their formulatation.
2
Development of the method of analysis
We develop and validate analytical methods by simulating the operating conditions to which the sample is subjected.
3
Drafting the analysis report
We compile a comprehensive report of the activities carried out and the results obtained from the analyses.
